UK AND THE SYRIAN REBELS


Britain said on Sunday that it and other countries were reluctant to arm rebels in Syria, even it warns that success in the battlefield by forces loyal to President Bashir Al-Assad was undermining chances of a Geneva peace conference. Britain and France worked together to lift the a European Union embago on arms shipment to Syrian rebels, giving them the flexibily to send weapons to forces who complained that they are dramatilly outgunned. Foreign secretary William Hague said on Sunday that no such decision had yet been taken and promises for the first time to give lawmakers a vote in paliament if and when it happens.
